About Joshua Cox

Joshua is a behavior support practitioner with Insightful Impact providing services in the Nepean Blue Mountains and Greater Western Sydney areas. With 3 years of experience as a support worker in the NDIS sector, he has experience helping participants achieve their goals and live fulfilling, quality lives. Additionally, Joshua has experience as a behavior support practitioner, conducting functional behavior assessments and person-centered planning for a wide variety of participant needs.

Joshua places a great emphasis on building strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders, believing that this is essential for fostering collaboration and ensuring effective, holistic support. He also firmly believes in interrogating the role that systems play in shaping behavior, understanding that external factors often significantly influence individual actions.

Joshua has completed a Certificate IV in Mental Health and is currently completing his Honours in Psychology. This education, combined with his hands-on experience, has allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of psychological principles and behavioural interventions. He applies this knowledge to create tailored support plans that prioritise individual strengths, promote independence, and ensure participants are empowered to make informed decisions about their lives. His approach is underpinned by a strong commitment to ethical practice, a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals, and a dedication to fostering positive outcomes for both participants and their families.
