About Bob Watkins

Bob is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with Insightful Impact based in Penrith, who provides services to Richmond, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains and Greater Western Sydney areas.

With over 20 years lived experience supporting individuals with mental health challenges, Bob is committed to encouraging people to work to their strengths and be active participants within their community. Bob has over four and a half years experience working to support people with disabilities and complex mental health needs in supported independent living settings.

By incorporating a strength-based person-centred approach, Bob believes that independence is achieved by promoting autonomy and building on existing skills. Bob understands that life can be challenging and is dedicated to working collaboratively with participants, families and carers to provide evidence-based support plans that are safety focussed to minimise risk, while encouraging growth and independence.

Currently, Bob is one unit away from completing a Bachelor in Psychological Sciences, with a goal of pursuing further study to become a Clinical Psychologist. With a strong community focus, Bob is actively involved in volunteer work for domestic violence and mental health initiatives.
