Cassandra is a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner with a strong passion for mental health and neurodiversity. She brings over 17 years of lived and professional experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and disabilities. Cassandra holds a Bachelor of Psychological Studies, a Certificate IV in Mental Health, and a Diploma in Counselling.
Her career has spanned a variety of impactful roles across the mental health and disability sectors. Notably, Cassandra pioneered the first NDIS Access Officer role for the Nepean Blue Mountains Mental Health service. In this role, she supported multidisciplinary teams, including CYMHS, community mental health centres, and regional hospitals by developing and delivering NDIS training for clinicians, as well as assisting consumers directly with their NDIS access and implementation.
Cassandra has also worked as a Local Area Coordinator in partnership with the NDIA, facilitated Autism Support Groups as part of the ILC initiative, and held positions as a support coordinator and mental health support worker.
In addition to her clinical work, Cassandra supervises other Behaviour Support Practitioners, sharing her knowledge and mentoring others to deliver person-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based support.
