About Steven Lowrie

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Insightful Impact, I bring over 27 years of experience in the disability sector, encompassing roles in both frontline service delivery and senior management. My journey has seen me work across State and local government, as well as the not-for-profit sector, where I have been instrumental in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and complex behaviors of concern. I am passionate about fostering inclusive communities and enabling people with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.

At Insightful Impact, I utilize my extensive background in social work, combined with specialized training in Positive Behaviour Support, to conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments and develop Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans. My practice is grounded in person-centered approaches, ensuring that the services I provide align with the unique needs and aspirations of each individual. I work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including service providers, families, and NDIS participants, to implement strategies that reduce restrictive practices and enhance quality of life. My commitment to human rights and the principles of choice and control underpin my work, driving me to continually advocate for the empowerment of those I support.
